Balam came to the clan to investigate claims that those within its heart could manipulate chance... to change a fate. If such a thing were true, would he be willing to pay the price it entails?

Just why he has a need for such things, the reclusive imperial has yet to say. He migrated from clan to clan, seeking rumor and myths and with the destruction of his former clan, he traveled still further with the refugees to a tiered garden home hidden in the storm riddled wastes of Lightning territory.
