Children of the alchemist and the assassin will often find that their parents are too distant to be anything more than solemn mentors. One parent, an alchemist absorbed in her work, and another, an assassin merely finding xeir legacy, will never be the role models their hatchlings want them to be.

Not that their parents don’t try to be as loving and as doting as possible, it’s just that, well, when there is a guild of assassins that operate in the shadowy corners of Sorineth out for the blood of both their parents, staying safe does seem be at the top of the list of priorities here.

gJP2zzB.png Fayn, the eldest of the nest and the most protective of her siblings, despises the fact that her family is in hiding from assassins out for their blood.

She wants to live as loudly and as brightly as she can, and damn the Plaguebringer if you think she isn't meant for great things. Honour burns white-hot within her; if there are innocents to be saved, oaths to uphold and villains to bring to justice, one can guarantee that she will throw herself fully into the task.

But there is danger in living like this, and if word spreads about her past, someone will eventually come knocking.

So, Fayn does the only thing she can do to live the life she wants while keeping her nest family safe: the day she is old enough to cross the Wasteland, she packs her things and takes off, searching for a fate full of the adventures she so desperately seeks.
