About
Yildirim traveled to the Sea of a Thousand Currents from his home in the Shifting Expanse. He was simply looking for a vacation when he began his journey but ended up with a whole new career and life to go with it.

Life in the Highland Scrub wasn't bad, per se, but Yildirim wasn't fond of his job as hunter-gatherer for his old clan. He saved up his treasure and left one day to take a break. He ended up in the Water flight districts and stayed a few nights in the Sea Bed, a nice inn in the Land of Colored Sand. While he continued on his journey around a few other parts of Sorneith, he was continually drawn back to the home of Clan Aguadaega for reasons he couldn't understand. It just felt right to be there.

As though destiny were calling him, on his fourth stay at the Sea Bed, he met Daega, the clan matriarch and ruler of the territory. After sitting down with him and listening to his story, she offered him a job as Lightning Flight Ambassador. He was taken aback by the sudden opportunity and asked if he could think about it. Daega obliged and allowed him to sleep on it.

Not that he really slept. Yildirim stayed up all night to ponder this big life change. He didn't have a mate or family to leave behind in the Highland Scrub. And this place had a certain appeal to it- more so than his current home. By morning he had made his decision. He sought out Daega and accepted her job offer.



Etymology: Means "lightning" in Turkish.
