Biography

Found by Rieaya in the Reclaimer's Glacier, in the Southern Icefields, Avalas was more dead than alive by the time she came to his aid and took him to live with her. Hypotermic and with infections festering on his frail body, Avalas still proved to be way stronger than Rieaya expected, by surviving the ordeal and making a full recovery.
He has been living with her ever since, following her during her journey and settling down where she did, the two growing inseparable, with her being almost like a mom to him.

Covered in scars, some new but most old, Avalas's past suggests a complex story of abuse and neglect, which will never be told by Avalas himself, due to the fact that he cannot speak.
What exactly happened to him before he ended up somewhere in the Reclaimer's Glacier is completely unknown and whether he was escaping from something or simply wandered off after running away and ending up lost is also a mystery which only Avalas knows the answer to.
For now the clan can only imagine what kind of horrors the dragon must have been through, and hope that maybe one day he'll be able to answer their questions, one way or another.

While Avalas is completely nonverbal, that doesn't mean that he doesn't try his best to communicate in his own way with the world around him by using a multitude of different sounds and behaviors. Those who are close to him are pretty used to his communication methods and have gotten better and better at making sure that his needs and feelings aren't being ignored.

Full of wonderment, there are very few things that don't surprise him. While Avalas is prone to sensory issues, appearing to be sensitive to certain textures and sounds, from which he needs a break so to not cause him to blow up in a fit of shrills of pain (the only way he can communicate his distress), he's also fascinated by the movement of the stars and their shining beauty. He loves to sniff the flowers and the feeling of grass grazing his belly, which is why he can be often found laying on the ground in a supine position, just chilling. Rieaya also lets him borrow her precious pearl as fidgeting with it seems to calm him down whenever he's overwhelmed or distressed.

With his friendly demeanor and overall joyous attitude and pure love for life, Avalas is beautifully complicated and so easy to love once you get to know the real him, getting over the assumptions that his sounds and behaviors might birth.
As Rieaya always says, she wouldn't want him any other way as he's perfect just the way he is and Avalas strongly agrees with that sentiment.

Avalas for certain! Who could resist the wonder of the Sanguine-skink combo?
The Peach runes are another lovely added touch. Looks like it took a bit of dedication to complete this project.
