zObsidian Red was bred and raised by his birth clan to be an extremely ferocious and loyal clan defender and coliseum combatant. Once satisfied with his development he was sold at auction (his birth clan specializes in producing high calibre warriors for auctioning). Since the clan was still quite small and vulnerable if attacked, Gozzo saw obtaining him as a sound investment.
Gozzo was nesting with eggs and her maternal instincts were turned on him due to his young age (teenager) and she babied him to an extent, resulting in a strong bond between the two. OR assigned himself as Gozzo's personal guard. He is also very protective of Gozzo's offspring, eager to ensure his matriarch's line is guaranteed and is constantly on the lookout for anything that could benefit Gozzo and increase her power and renown among the clans.


He was recently, permanently mated to Hix, who made herself at home in his nest as soon as she joined and was quick to make it clear to everyone in the clan that he was hers. He of course was not going to let that slide but it soon proved to be more effort than it was worth trying to remove her as her magic is top notch. He saw the potential in producing strong offspring with her and so has resigned himself to her presence.
- As it turns out they do well as mates: he is a good provider for Hix and she enchants his armor to better protect him in fights, he also has a slight fondness for her coloration.

Both Hix and himself are not the most invested parents, they let the clan raise them just as much as they do. Due to this, they arent close to any of their children and each have forged their own paths in life with the guidance of other clan members.
