Biography

Savannah
Warden~aka TS

tumblr_phdfm5hD8W1tddvg0o3_r1_640.png

The cultured ranger of the Thunderhead Savannah, TS is in charge of protecting the native wildlife from invasive species and encroaching poachers. While he’s always willing to teach other dragons about the flora and fauna of the Savannah, most of the time, the dragons he find are less of the learning type and more of the “let me sneak this lionsnake into my picnic basket” type. Thus, TS spends most of his time politely reminding those dragons that removing wildlife without a certified license from the Thunderhead Savannah is illegal, often from atop the nearest Greattusk. When that fails, he resorts to using brutal ice magic that encases those poachers in a solid chunk of frozen water. Once those nuisances have been properly frozen up, TS then disposes them in the nearest bit of quicksand, as such is the correct way to rid oneself of rubbish.

A Fae by itself isn’t really terrifying, as they are merely the size of a larger dragon’s snout. For that reason, most dragons don’t notice TS until he’s literally on top of them, and even then, they’re not liable to listen to the tiny brown Fae wearing a bubbly orange hoopskirt. TS takes their ignorance of his attire kindly, as he understand that not many dragons are educated in the same civilized manner as he was. Instead, he brushes off those small comments and gracefully performs his job. After all, being the sole ranger in an entire Coliseum Venue is a tiring task, and he knows better than to focus on the mundane insults.

He will wave his frilly hat at dragons who are attempting to poach wildlife at a distance. This has yet to catch anyone’s attention, so TS has relied on gently tossing his hat and giving it a supporting push of icy wind so it smacks square into the face of the intruding dragon. Who will then brush off the irritating speck of orange, as a Fae’s tiny hat isn’t really visible to the eye of a much larger dragon. TS is fine with this, as long he’s fast enough to retrieve his hat before it can be muddied by the ground. After adjusting his attire, he will politely warn the poacher of the severe consequences of poaching. And if that doesn’t work, well, please refer to paragraph one.

The few dragons who have spoken to him say that he is as polite as he appears and is open and friendly to all those he meets - as long as they don’t intend on removing that one flower they’re eyeing off his premises. He seems to be in harmony with all the creatures of the Savannah, and can occasionally be found elegantly riding on the back of a giant crystal rhino. TS is known to be horrified by the idea of dragon clans having Familiars, as he sees this domestication of the wild as proof that dragons are, indeed, innately poachers. Dragons hunting on the Savannah should beware to keep their Familiars out of TS’s sight, as he will insist that they release the poor captive creature immediately, or find out what the scenery looks like in the stomach of a Lionsnake.

Due to TS’ diminutive size and the Savannah’s not-diminutive size, protecting the wild usually takes up all his waking hours - and some of his sleeping ones as well, as he is perfectly capable of catching poachers in his sleep. The only break TS allows himself is a single hour every day for his afternoon tea and crumpets. He considers this break time sacred and will not hesitate to properly thrash those who dare disturb him. Retaliation ranges from snowballs to throwing his frilly orange knickers at the intruding dragon. It is widely agreed that the latter is the more dangerous of the two.
