A statue illuminated by a pale streak of moonlight, surrounded by piles of cryptic writings and shards of documents. As you approach a cloud drifts in front of the moon and snuffs out the light, when the cloud passes you are suddenly faced with bared teeth and monstrous claws. The statue upon you, frozen under your sight you back away slowly, lest the clouds move again. Leaving the creature to it's ancient hole, and it's confounding scribbles. You survived this encounter, and pray you won't have another.

It sits in it's hole, away from the rest, among it's shards of parchment. A feral monster, secreting away strange missives. So many memories, journals, lost mail, forgotten documents, and old ledgers. Any written word left too long, becomes lost forever in the towering piles in it's lair. A library of lost work, and missing letters, all for one and one alone. A feral monster among monsters.

Can't you hear the whisper wings? When you aren't looking, that scrap of paper disappears, as if taken by the wind.
