Biography

NAMELESS (Okullos)

"Damn, DAMN!! What the hell is it?"

Judging by his outburst, you might think that this Imperial has come across some hideous abomination in the Scarred Wasteland. Well, he's certainly seen many terrible things, but that's not what's bothering him. The reason for his agitation is simple; he has forgotten his name.

THE DAY EVERYTHING CHANGED...

How did this happen? Some time ago in the Starfall Isles, he was exploring the Starwood Strand close to where his clan was located. As a young Imperial, he enjoyed observing and collecting the bio-luminescent plants that grew within the forest. He was always told to never go further than the outskirts of the forest, as many dragons have become lost to the dangers hidden in its beauty. But the temptation was too great for the young Imperial.

Bracing himself, he went deeper into the Starwood Strand. The new types of plants instantly sparked his interest. He bent down to collect samples, but he was not cautious enough of his surroundings. The forest hid many alien creatures, and it was at this moment that he was attacked.

The conflict did not last long. He swatted the creature away with one of his massive clawed paws. The creature, looking like some kind of hybrid jellyfish with insect legs, lay dead on the ground. Breathing a sigh of relief, the Imperial quickly left to return home. But... where was home? Was it near here? Wait, what was my name? These thoughts swirled around his head. It felt like half of his memory was gone. The culprit could only be that jellyfish, which was now uselessly dead.

He panicked for a few hows before calming down. Ok, what do I actually remember? Thinking this, he recalled that both of his parents had long since left the clan that he could no longer locate. If he could find one of them, he could re-discover his name. Vaguely he felt that they were both now living in the neighbouring area; the Scarred Wasteland.

The contaminated regions of the Scarred Wasteland were known to be unforgiving. However, he was desperate for answers. With no other ideas or plans, he could only start walking towards that dreadful place...

JOURNEY THROUGH THE PLAGUE...

The Wandering Contagion was vast and... horrible!! The mutated landscape spawned terrible aberrations, all of which sought his life. Even the air itself was slowly trying to kill him. The ambient pestilence and radiation turned his scales from an iridescent luster to a spotted sickness. Meanwhile, his wings took on a bloody sheen, as if to compliment the wasteland.

The dragons here were vicious and savage. Within days, he experienced his first ambush by the scavengers and survivors of those touched by the plague. His first fight was brutal, but he had size on his side. Once again his powerful paws showed their worth. He “permanently” sent his attackers to forever serve the Plaguebringer, how happy they must be...
He wanted to leave this place but where could he go? The answers he sought were ahead of him, so he pressed onward.

Several more fights followed. He took a cleaver from one of his defeated adversaries to better arm himself. Strength was what mattered in this cruel land. He painted war paint upon his huge body, and with his new cleaver he cut an intimidating figure. This helped him to avoid many pointless fights.

Later on he actually found someone to stand by his side and fight with him. A young, and perhaps newly mutated cactus plant, became friendly with him. Without a doubt, this was only so it could survive better with a strong ally, but the Imperial was pleased none-the-less.

HIS NAME, HIS FAMILY...
After two years of searching with almost no clues, he finally found his mother. By the name of Mononoke, she was a bold and daring Wildclaw with colours not unlike his own. She recognized him immediately — something which he was very grateful for.

She could not tell him much, but she did know his name. The struggles he faced were all in anticipation for this moment! He learned forward to hear the answer, but was overcome by a sudden exhaustion. He immediately passed out!

He woke up three days later after fighting off a raging fever. His mother was there gazing at him lovingly, but there was also sadness in her eyes. She explained to him that the plague had infected him a long time ago, and his body was at the point of being overcome by it. All she could do was provide a temporary relief.

With a desperate voice she spoke softly to her son, “Okullos. Ock, you must go quickly. In this world I only know of one dragon who will certainly help you. You must find Rynakith; your father.”
Mononoke had separated from her first mate many years ago. She had only recently heard tales of him studying the plague in the nearby clan of Retiiri. To give her son his best chance, she journeyed there in search of Rynakith. The Retiiri clan was incredibly hostile, but she was no push over either. A fight broke out and it only ended when she learnt what she wanted. Unfortunately it turned out that Rynakith had left just a few months beforehand, but she found out where he was heading.

She returned to her son, hiding the battle wounds. Mononoke spoke of what she knew and sent him away from this hostile place. His new destination was the Southern Icefields, to a place called the Southern Skyway [Respite and Trade Station].

SOUTHERN SKYWAY
RESPITE AND TRADE STATION

ice_small.png

The clan has been living in the Southern Icefields for several years now. A large respite station has been opened to coincide with the clan progenitor's fourth birthday. It is located on the north-eastern side of the Southern Icefields, in one of the smaller coastal mountains in the Cloudscrape Crags.

RYN'S REMEDIES (2018)
About halfway down the stairs between the main levels of the respite station and Providence Port is a mid-way point. The stairs open out into a large rectangular area, with another set of stairs leading down at the other end. It is at this place that Okullos found his father.
Rynakith was very surprised to see his long-lost son. Word had not yet reached him from Mononoke that Okullos was coming to see him. However, this did not change the fact that Ryn could see that his son was in serious trouble. The plague in his body left him gasping for breath. Ryn shut his shop for 2 weeks straight while he used all of his knowledge and reserves of medicine to cleanse Ock's body. 245291p.png?mtime=WZ0lhgAANqY.png
When it was all over, Okullos felt weak but could immediately feel a large difference in his movements. He had spent so long in the Scarred Wasteland that he didn't even realize how sluggish he’d become. He thought the constant dull pain was normal. Laughter escaped him, he finally felt like the last two years of his painstaking search were over. He finally felt free.

CACTUS CORNER (OPENING SOON - 2019)

.... .... .... .... .... .... .... ....

Okullos is currently still re-cooperating, but he has decided to stay here with his father. In the future, he is thinking about opening a little cactus garden in the Arboretum. His familiar, who stayed with him all this time, thinks it's a great idea! Okullos always liked plants to begin with, but he still can't remember why...

His aim is to breed and grow many different cacti in the hopes of making one of them bio-luminescent. Cactus are kinda shaped like candles, so they should glow right?
