\ Siː·ɒrː·ʌ \ Little Dark One Ciara is the lead Battle Master of the Wayward Clan. Valiss found her as a hatchling on the battlefield and took her back to the Clan's lair in Emberglow Hearth. He trained her there, but she soon enthusiastically outstripped his few abilities. For a while she left the Clan to learn fiercer ways of battle. When she finally returned, the Clan had moved. By the time that she located the clan, Ciara had changed. Sewn to her hide were the bones of dragons whose fate the Clan could only guess. Threads and feathers adorned her wings and neck, sticky with long-dry blood, and there was a grotesque, rotting creature with eyes like fire at her heel. None asked of her travels save for her mate, Damalis, and whatever she told him is a secret he has kept. Now, she trains the hatchlings in the way of battle alongside of Damalis and the Clan's other battle master, Valiss. Though Valiss had strength and stubborness enough to teach hatchlings when he first met Ciara, she has been the one to since teach him finesse. She taught Valiss the true rules of battle that he ignores as well as many of the maneuvers and tricks he uses now. Neither of them would voluntarily call the other friend, but they share a closeness of spirit unmatched by their other connections within the Clan. Ciara maintains a record of the Clan's battle experience and record of all the battlers who have been trained here and left for other lairs. These records are some of the only papers in the Clan's library, though none dare touch them but Ciara, not even curious hatchlings.
