  Corinne is the thirdborn daughter of Sebille and Aeolos. The pair have gone into hiding with Clan Naraka, seeking protection from Sebille's large family of nobility. The ice clans have never been known to be particularly merciful, and what she did is a crime that can't be forgiven: she stole the inheritance of her cousin and fiance Rhysand and used it to run off with his gardener. This was seen as a betrayal of the entire family, and Sebille is certain they are being hunted to retrieve the treasures she stole.

  Corinne is a disappointment to her mother. She has no taste for refined things, no care for silver or gold, and prefers to spend her time romping about and making a mess out of herself. At least her sister Aceline has a somewhat-refined hobby in growing flowers, but Corinne is more like a wild weed, growing where she wants and how she wants with no regard for her mother's distaste. She refuses to be boxed in and made to be some soft, pretty thing to be looked at but not touched.

Corinne is ignorant of the crimes her parents committed in the eyes of Sebille's family.
