Album 1 (Name and Band): Folie a Deux - Fall Out Boy
Album 1 (Genre(s)): Pop Punk, Pop Rock (is that a genre? idk)
Album 1 (Extra Information/Thoughts About the Album):
look i know there's already three other fob albums in here but folie a deux but i don't care. folie a deux has had my entire heart for like 15 years. every song has a unique vibe but the album is able to maintain a cohesive feel. i feel like the one song (if any) that people are going to know going in is i don't care which happens to be my least favorite lmao. it's by no means bad, but it is less... fun? than the rest of the album. (coffee's for closers), disloyal order of water buffaloes, and 20 dollar nose bleed are probably my favorites but everything is great lmao
Album 2 (Name and Band): Violator - Depeche Mode
Album 2 (Genre(s)): Gothic Rock, Synth/80s
Album 2 (Extra Information/Thoughts About the Album):
*grabs you gently* look at me. you are going to listen to violator. you are going to enjoy violator. if you've ever heard a depeche mode song, there's a pretty good chance it's from this album. this is probably the best produced album i've ever listened to. it's got the slower, melancholy vibes of traditional goth music and the sick synth stuff from the 80s. if anything i've said sounds at all interesting, i am begging you, give violator a listen.
Album 3 (Name and Band): Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder - Utsu-P
Album 3 (Genre(s)): Metal, Vocaloid
Album 3 (Extra Information/Thoughts About the Album):
ok full disclosure: if you choose to look up the translations, pretty much everything in here is very dark and very angry. it deals a lot with the failings of society and the struggle of those who fall through the cracks. if you're upset by anything in the vein of depression or self-harm, i would strongly advise against looking up translations or listening. that being said, if you're ever in the mood to just rage at the world, this album is perfect for that. utsu-p is able to get a perfect blend of fast-paced guitar solos, heavy bass, growling/screaming, and singing in every track. this was actually the album that got me into metal, so if you're interested in that genre and are comfortable with the subject matter, i strongly recommend giving this a listen.
TW: bullying, lots of depression, self-harm, suicide, body horror, etc.
