Haema Subclan

Aberrant is not that different from the rest of the Haema subclan. He doesn't emerge from the underground caverns due to a sensitivity to light, he has a peculiar diet, and he likes to remain distant from the other dragons in the lair. What makes Aberrant a unique member of the subclan is that he has an incredibly contagious bite. Most of the time the dragons he bites die horrible deaths, but sometimes they meet much worse fates. So far, the infected have shown no signs of contagion similar to Aberrant, but their infection is just as bad.

Aberrant is a greedy, gluttonous dragon compelled to seek out and devour what he can, when he can. He doesn't have much of a social life or interpersonal skills of any kind. He gets along with the others of the Haema subclan by their shared nature, but otherwise does not get along with dragons at all. Thus leading him to bite them when they interfere in his constant, nearly mindless hunt. When other dragons are bitten by him and live, they, too, become nearly mindless in their perceived starvation. It doesn't matter that Aberrant is so small, his bite is incredibly powerful and feared.

Many dragons that come across him call him rabid and avoid him. He isn't insulted, he barely acknowledges them other than to show aggression and maybe try to bite them. He mostly fills his nights by sniffing around, looking for things that move. He doesn't intentionally attack other dragons, but when they cross his path, he is compelled to attack because they move.
