Oglinda

"Family isn't always blood. It's the people in your life who want you in theirs; The ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile and the ones who love you no matter what."~Unknown Oglinda is the clan's leader. Her parents, Ignis and Meditatio, founded the clan, before leaving to serve the Flamecaller. She has ten children, Valista, Shalis, Albastrum, Noctis, Zeil, Khrynia, Lorides, Rime, Bex, and Aromis, most of which have left the clan to join another or to serve the Flamecaller. Her mate is Astrapi, and her familiar, Cream is a sweetpuff.

Because her parents and sister left her, Oglinda is afraid of being abandoned, so she is hesitant to open up. But once you gain her trust, she is a very kind and trustworthy dragon, who you will come to love. She feels a lot of compassion towards dragons without parents, given her predicament, and this compassion has led her to take in strays, as in the case of Katoteros, and treat them as her own children, much to Astrapi's dismay.
"Mommy! Daddy! Why do you have to leave?" the newly fledged Mirror was scared out of her mind. Her parents were leaving her, and they had given no reason why.

"It's okay, honey. You'll be fine. I'm sure you and Thalassa will lead the clan in ways we never could." And with that, her mother flew off into the night. "But Thally! You can't leave! I need you here! You're the last family I have left! Please don't go!" tears streamed out of her eyes as she watched her sister prepare to fly off, the same way her parents had.

"Oh, Glinda, you'll be fine without me. The clan is your family. I have to go find Mom and Dad. I have to. You found happiness with the clan, a sense of fulfillment that I will never feel unless I see our parents again. I love you sis, but I have to do this."

One sentence echoed in her mind for the rest of her life. The clan is your family.
