Copper was born within the tumultuousness of the Twisting Crescendo, perilously close to the eye of the storm. Growing up, he and his clan had to fight simply to keep themselves and the food stores safe from the storm, so any personal or surplus items tended to become lost to the raging wind. Copper clung to his one possession: an old, tattered doll fashioned in the likeness of his elemental deity, the Windsinger, given to him by his late twin brother who was swept into the storm very early in life, last seen being rocketed through the sky toward the Southern Icefield.

One day, while helping his mother gather their next meal (ants whose hill had been freshly overturned by the wind), the leather band that always held the doll fastened to his hip came loose, and the doll was immediately whipped into the air. Without thinking of the consequences, Copper leaped into the sky after it, all three sets of wings beating furiously against the force of the wind. He couldn't hear his mother's cries over the roar of the storm in his ears, nor could he see the tears streaming down her cheeks and being pulled from her face by the wind with his eyes fixated on his most treasured possession, the one remembrance of his lost brother.

Oddly enough, the winds chose to carry him in the opposite direction that they had taken his brother; he flew northeast toward the Sea of a Thousand Currents. He had no idea how long it took him to catch up to the doll and capture it in his grasp, but he did know that the winds would never allow him to fly against them back to his childhood home. So instead, he continued on the path that the storm had set him on, soaring high above the crystalline surface of the Tidelord's domain.

Days later, he found rest among the trees of the Tangled Wood. He didn't know why, but the darkness of the forest comforted him; perhaps the shade provided by the foliage reminded him of the overcast light that found its way to the ground through the clouds of his homeland.

Without the threat of the storm looming over him, Copper resolved to never lose an item unwillingly again. He followed a group of travelling warriors with their small hoards, hard-won in battle, to a clan known as Corcair Cion. Their plenteous and ever-growing hoard caught his eye and heart, and he offered his services to them as hoardmaster and organizer.

Greetings, friends! My name is Copper, and I am the Hoardmaster of Corcair Cion! I am very grateful to have found a home with so many wonderful treasures in need of a studious caretaker such as myself! You are welcome to peruse our collection, but please do not touch or move anything without my expressed permission. Everything is in its place, and it is in that place for a reason.
