This misanthrope can be found loitering outside any bar or coffeeshop in Salt Fork (other than Fey's), chain smoking and glowering at the paying customers. As glowers go, it's impressive; especially with his eyes perpetually hidden under hatbrim and bangs.

In times gone by, this would be a way to scope out easy targets for muggings. Nowadays, Gig has bigger things to worry about.

Like Hardy.

It was supposed to be one job. An in and out, easy smash and grab, run like hell and split the loot and never see each other again kind of job. Hardy was annoyingly bubbly and disturbingly conspicuous and pretended to faint at the feet of every female dragon they passed. Of course, the simple, easy job ended in disaster and Gig cussed out the Spiral, who stood, contrite, with one black eye and a sprained wing, and took it nicely until he couldn't hold it in anymore and burst out laughing.

Gig laughed too, before chasing Hardy out the window and down an alley with violent invective and intent. He couldn't stand that ridiculous, infuriating grin.

For whatever reason, the two kept together. Gig tells himself that he's getting old, that working with a partner is safer, that Hardy draws so much attention that no one notices him, that one of these days they're gonna hit a jackpot and that's when he'll leave.

The real reason, that he only admits in the moments of euphoria after getting away with a real prize or doing something stupid and not dying from it like he should have, is that before Hardy, larceny had never been so fun.

After much too much personal experience, Gig has to conclude that Hardy has no fear. Nothing else could explain Hardy's lunatic disregard for common sense in his perpetual quest for thrills and treasure. Gig doesn't know whether to regret being swept up in it or not.

HARDY

Gig has a wary relationship with Salt Fork's dentist and underground doctor. Toothpaste's patched him up plenty of times, but for some reason the Snapper seems preoccupied with his teeth. Sure, some are missing, some are broken, most hurt like hell, but Gig doesn't see how that's anyone's business but his own.

TOOTHPASTE

Although he'll work with her and even be civil when the occasion demands it, Gig has never trusted or even liked Ringo. Gig knows Hardy's dumb, but it's hard to swallow him being this much of an idiot.
