As a dragon from the youngest set of the King and Queens children, Prince Van Holten has sworn himself to his families kingdom as the war general. He has no interest in being the political figurehead as he is so far down the line of inheritance and has no chance of it anyways.

Due to his life of travel he has no intentions of settling down with anyone. To much at risk of death in his career, and always on the move, owning a home and caring for a family would be too much of a burden on his mind and possibly distract him from his duties.

This is not to say he will not frequent the local places in the cities he passes by, but should a nest be made he more than likely would be long gone before he even knew much of the results.

(His nest brother and sister however have decided without the knowledge of Van Holten to take any mothers or children he leaves behind and give them a proper home. As those children would then be Lords and Ladies of the Cucumber Kingdom after-all.)
