Banazir

It may not be visible, but a gigantic magic barrier surrounds the Mistwoods, protecting it from large scale curses, magical diseases and undead. The barrier is an unique enchantment, a hybrid of the druids' Nature blessings and Mirini's Arcane wards.

The barrier became a necessity in the early days of the clan, when spies used magic, plagues and necromancy to strike the residents at their weakest. It is likely the Mistwoods' greatest defender, and has remained active ever since.

Banazir inherited its care from Corristo, the first great Mage of the clan. He is dutifully cheeking on it every day, making sure to patch it up wherever its magic weakens. It is also possible to detect malicious weaves before they can reach the lair, preventing harm and making it easier to stop the perpetrator.

As a ward keeper, Banazir is greatly honored, as his duty requires unparalleled focus and magic prowess. He cannot travel very far from the Mistwoods. Warriors and mages bring him magically charged artifacts all the time, just to make sure Banazir has all the energy he needs without exhausting his own.
