Biography
Advat was once Stomper. A small. almost insignificant change, one might say. Advat is simply the word for 'stomper' in the ancient language of the dragons. Save that it has a slight nuance. It is one who stomps in rage.
Stomper was hatched among the verdant green thickets of the Gladeskeeper. There, amid family and friends and kith and kin, he was nurtured, tutored, educated, and trained to be one of the finest warriors that the Nature Flight had ever seen. Long and hard he fought for his green goddess - until one day, amid the brawn and the contest and the roar and the chaos, he simply. Stopped. Stopped dead in his tracks, and wept. And fled.
He was not seen in his birth clan again.
Long he wandered, aimlessly, distraught and brokenhearted for the horrors and cruelty he'd seen. The young dragons packed off to serve the gods. The parents saying tearful goodbyes, the youngsters glorious and bright -- or those trained to deal with the incursions of the beastclans. Those who even chose to battle against their fellows for honor and glory.
For what? For what indeed.
He did not notice, perhaps, that his wanderings slowly lead him to the edge of the Plaguebringer's realm. He did not understand, perhaps, the dangers of going into that place.
Stomper went into the maw.
Advat was spat back out.
Changed. Some say unhinged.
But he takes comfort in the Rotten Lady's reassurances. He has seen things worse than the battles for dominance, the youngsters lost to Exaltation or Beastclans. She showed him that. And he embraced that truth.
And came back out.
Advat came back out.
