B I O G R A P H Y

The merchants are screaming, again, they scream every time a ship comes too close to the boat, usually a brilliant amount of curses and swears.
Helios rubs his temples, “Last time I ride on a merchant’s ship.”
This time, however, the screams turn silent as Helios hears the thundering of new talons thunder on the top deck. Helios listened for a bit, before finding a familiar voice among the shouts.
“Ah, so she is stealing from these merchants,” Helios hummed, “Better go try and save some of their mortal wears, I guess.
Three dragons come down to the cargo deck, hissing, unafraid, a mistake.
“Back off, actor boy, th’ Boss owns this ship now!” A Nocturne hissess, ah, and in her talk, she must be quite the leader.
“Hm, sorry but no,” Helios says, drawing himself up, feeling fire and light form in his bones, “Tell your boss that she’ll have to get past me before she gets this boat.”

“Gods, Helios!” Her voice calls from the door, “Why can’t y’ just leave me and m’ crew alone!”
He looks at her, she hasn’t changed a bit, still covered in stars, still as dark and beautiful as they day they fell in love.
“I seem to recall it being you who attacked this ship.” Helios responded, hiding the smirk that was growing in his heart.
“Just let m’ crew get the loot! Don’t tell me you finally got yer head on right and care for these ‘ere dragons now!”
Helios walked over to Nyx, he had to be closer to her, he had to be near his moon again.
“I suppose I haven’t changed, and neither have you it seems, still caring too much for these dragons, dear?” Helios loved the way Nyx growled at that, “I’ve heard that your crew now has some quite similar to your first crew, you have something to do with that?”
“I, yes, I did, but what does it matter? They are still their own dragons! Still actin’ like themselves! Maybe you should learn to do that too!”
Helios chuckled, but that hurt, a lot pushing past Silverclaw, “Maybe one day, love, it’s too fun to see these mortals gawk.”
He looked back as he walked out of the cargo deck, watching Nyx slump down, and for once, he wanted to be a captain by his moon’s side.

He was an actor, he was a star, he did not think about the black Imperial staring at him, he read his lines, mortals were so easy to fool. He was Midas, he was the Prophet, he was not yearning for the moon’s love, he was not angry that he threw her away.
