Previously a member of a Wind clan, Toxin found himself leaving his family's lair at a young age. he desired nothing more than to accumulate the greatest amount of wealth and treasure a dragon could possibly imagine. Longing to stretch his wings, he traveled far and wide, gathering anything and everything that caught his attention. Gems and jewels, silver, gold, and all that glittered drew him in close, like any young dragon. He spent a great deal of time amassing a small hoard of glistening treasure for himself- well hidden from the world and always awaiting his return after another adventure. The Skydancer would frequently go out for a flight early in the morning, gather what trinkets he could find, and return to his ever growing pile in the evening to rest and guard the stash.

Life carried on like this for a fair amount of time. Leave the hoard, go forth and explore new areas, gather what riches were available in the new land, return home with all that he could carry. It wouldn't be until the day Toxin stumbled across a deep cave filled to the ceiling with silver and sapphire that this routine was interrupted.

Upon finding this long lost treasure- and lost it certainly seemed, for cobwebs and dust coated everything within, masking the sheen of each coin and jewel until the treasure hunter brushed his feathered tail over it's surface. At first, this stash was treated just as any other, with Toxin filling his bags as much as possible until something- a sharp movement in the distance- caught his attention. For once in his life the greed and desire for wealth was interrupted with... something new. Curiosity. An overwhelming desire to know what, and more importantly why? He set the bag he had been filling to the floor, and allowed the strange new urge pull him forward, closer to the movement in the distance. For a time, it was still, nothing making noise nor movement.

Then there it was, again- a shining shift in the corner. Toxin wastes no time this time, and pounces.

Now, any sensible dragon would flee when met with a ghostly arm brandishing a sword, and Toxin did just that- he fled. Unlike any sensible dragon, though, he returned the next afternoon. Burdened with the weight of a good portion of his personal hoard, he ventured into the cave yet again. Bringing bags overflowing with treasure and jewelry, he makes his way back to the mysterious chest and sword. Just like the time previous, a shadowy arm shot from the chest and brandished the sword. Toxins only response was to dump out a bag of treasure at the chest's base.

The sword was lowered, and Toxin had earned himself his first familiar- the ghost of a mimic- and together they amassed an even greater hoard.

Years passed, and Toxin befriended other eerie creatures over time. Other mimics, ghost or otherwise, and many more spirits were invited to the lair. The dragon began collecting more... otherworldly objects as his tastes changed and grew. Old bones and ashes, tangible spirits and more were added to the shimmering pile of treasure.

Eventually, Toxin found himself befriending some of his own kind as well. It didn't take long for a clan to invite him into their ranks as clan treasurer, the dragons within said clan stating that he would make an excellent familiar tamer and treasure keeper. Surely, anyone curious and brave enough to befriend spirits from the beyond would make a wonderful addition to the clan dynamics.

And, of course... there was the promise of even more treasure should he chose to join.
