Morning awoke one morning with a purpose. She felt like she could do something great that day. Besides, it was her turn to go scavenging that day. Maybe she would find a dragon egg? She shrugged, spreading her wings and shaking off the morning dew.

When she and Prophet had gone out, Prophet said she felt something odd. Morning felt something odd too. They both parted ways to go searching, and after a great distance she thought she heard cries. It was a cry for "Mother" But it sounded very young. And she heard another voice, coming in the same direction, they too crying for their mother.
She made way to the cries, listening curiously to the voices. When she found them, it was quite a heartbreaking sight.
A baby Emperor. Clearly they must have been siblings, as they were all the same color. She lent out a talon from the bushes.
"Hello young one." She said, smiling to the young dragonet. They looked beaten, with rocks stuck in their scales as if they were thrown at them.
"Are you lost? Come with me, we have much room in the clan for the three of you." she said
"I'll name you Hydra." She said, picking up the emperor and she made way back to the clan.

"We can't keep a Emperor here!" Boomed a loud voice. It came from a Imperial who adorned gems and leaves.
"Let's be reasonable here. We have a Pearlcatcher with glowing eyes, a imperial with many eyes, and a blind wildclaw. We can take care of it!" Morning said reasonably.
"Morning is right, it's better than another clan finding it and using it for war. It's just a hatchling!" Prophet said "Not to mention we also have a Nature spirit here. It protect the forest around the clan."
"STILL! It could turn on us at any moment. And if it grows, it could get bigger than me!" The Imperial growled, glaring at Hydra.
"It hasn't even grown to adulthood for a week! It probably never will make it to adulthood anyway!" Morning noted, flaring her wings.
The imperial huffed and turned and walked away, mumbling and hissing.
Nightmist had always been a hardheaded Imperial. He always looked out for only himself, and he hoarded everything for himself too. At least Prophet stood up for me. Prophet had always been a kind soul, despite her foresight and blindness.
Morning carried the Emperor back to her den after the argument and readied a bed for the young one. Once ready she sang a song out of thought.
