Akairo is quite the chatterbox; plenty of clanmates probably wish he struggled with Common Draconian like some of his breed. He's a huge clown as well and those that tolerate him often find his neverending quips hilarious. As expected of his Plague origins, his sense of humor can run a bit on the more morbid side but he's ultimately a lighthearted figure.

That being said, not everything is a joke to Akairo. He takes his relationships very seriously and remains committed to Pierre.

He takes his job seriously, too. Akairo's main role is overseeing goods, both those exported from the Belfry and those imported in. As someone who grew up in Plague, he has a keen sense of when something is a bit off or if food being brought in is a bit rotten. His gaze is also the equivalent of the judge's gavel when it comes to precious items. Before anyone gets away with peddling some fraudulent gems or trading fool's gold to the Belfry, Akairo is on the scene.

While most Council members essentially fill the role of elemental representative, Akairo's role goes a bit further and is a bit more official. Since the Starfall Isles share a border with Plague there tends to be a bit more confrontations with them than others. Plague also happens to be one of the few elements Chimes has a slight prejudice towards. She is aware of this (and is actually rather apologetic about it) so Akairo is often called upon to mitigate situations involving Plague dragons so her patience is not tested.
