Aureline is the first child of the clan's leaders. She was and still is a bit spoiled because of this, especially by her father. Aureline is outspoken and curious, and sometimes has trouble staying quiet. She loves exploring ancient ruins and flying, and has a bad habit of disappearing to go on adventures. However, she is trying to become more responsible, because she dreams of becoming the clan's next leader when her mother is ready to pass on the title.

Aureline knows that her mother disapproves of many of her adventures and she knows that Lyriana wishes the young dragon was better at holding her tongue. She admires her mother very much and wants to impress her, but sometimes gets angry that Lyriana can't just accept her the way she is. Aureline is closer to her father, who spoils her somewhat and finds her occasional disobedience amusing rather then deserving of scolding.

Klionel is her adoptive brother and best friend. The two have been going on adventures together since they were hatchlings. The great difference in their sizes works in their favor: with Klionel's strength and Aureline's ability to wriggle into small spaces, they can explore practically anywhere.
