My name means 'Christmas'.
A tiny point of light flits into the dark den, making a beeline directly for the male Coatl snugged tightly in his bed. The tiny light is in fact one of the Christmas Sprites that spreads Christmas news, and this one is no exception. It zips over to the tip of the Coatl's ear and whispers, which is inaudible to anyone but a dragon.
'Wha...? Who is that and why are you disturbing me? What do you mean, I have to wake up? I'm sleeping!!' {points to top of page} 'See, I'm in the HIBERNAL den... hibernal... hibernating... this is where we dragons come when we want to rest, why would you bother me?" Noeru ruffles his feathers, then preens to smooth them down again, while he listens to the tiny Christmas Sprite speaking.
'Oh! Lairmom needs my help?? Well, then forget I said all of that... oh, where are my manners! Would you like some tea? Cookies? It's always Christmas in my part of the Lair, you could even have a figgy pudding, if you'd like! Or hot cocoa? Something a bit more... spirited... perhaps?' Noeru giggles and looks around, then leans close and whispers to the Spirit, 'I am a bit partial to a tot of Baileys Irish Cream, myself.'
He clears his throat and smiles shyly, then bustles around to clear the couch of gift-wrapping remnants, before brushing off the cushion and gesturing for the Spirit to settle. As the pinpoint light lowers itself to the seat, it grows in size until it has become large enough to converse with ease. And to accept a wee dram and a few cookies, of course.
'Your Lairmom has decided to join the Secret Santa gift exchange this year, and she asked if you would mind safe-guarding her wishlist for her. She said that you are the most qualified, as you are her Christmas dragon.'
'Oh! Oh my goodness, I am so honored!' Noeru replies, while a handsome blush colors his feather cheeks. 'Oh gosh, where will I keep it, so no-one steals it? Or so it won't blow away during the December gales, when the door opens? Gosh, I need to clean off a place at the desk so she can place it there and find it when she needs it...'
Noeru has begun to plan, which leads to bustling around and pushing things from one side of the desk to the other and back again. He stops and looks around the room, musing to himself, 'I wonder if there is a better place to put it, so it won't get lost under a pile of something else...'
The Christmas Sprite watches Noeru, giggling at the sudden rush of activity, then slowly shrinks to its tiniest size, before wishing the Coatl a Merry Christmas and flying out through the keyhole.
'Well, Lairmom', Noeru says, speaking directly to Arianethel, 'whenever you make your list, it will be safe with me so your Secret Santa will be able to find it with ease.'[/bold]

“I’VE GOT AN EXCHANGE DELIVERY HERE!” the Christmas elf, Valikor, shouted.
It’s late evening - just enough light for the twinkling lights on a sleigh to be seen from far far away, and a clear voice rings out from the entrance of your lair. Standing there is a skydancer courier, grinning like mad, strapped into a one-dragon sleigh loaded with packages in all shapes and sizes. The long, multi-colored light strings you remember from his spiral friend are twinkling merrily from where they are wrapped around the sleigh’s sides.
“I have all the delivery instructions from Lisette for the exchange this year. I have these for you, from lizzytiki. They wish you the happiest holiday, and hope you like what they picked out for you.” he says, gesturing to the small pile of wrapped boxes that he’s stacked at your feet.
He wishes you farewell while you pick up the gifts, and dashes off into the evening, lights slowly dimming as he fades from view.

It’s the morning after a huge snow shower. The air is crisp, and piles of snow glitter all around the entrance to your lair. Up above, a dark shape is rapidly approaching - with what seems like a courier dragon trailing after. The shape turns into a dark spiral, who slams very ungracefully into one of the walls of snow.
After shaking herself off, she approaches the courier and accepts a large, rolled piece of parchment stamped with a seal from his pack, and comes in closer. She’s covered head to tail in a long, blinking string of lights in every color, and complex shapes along her skin glow and fade in time with the blinking lights.
"Greetings! My name is Lisette.
I have been given leave from my regular research to assist with the Secret Santa Exchange!
According to our records, the scroll here contains everything you need to know for the exchange. If you require any assistance while preparing your delivery, or have any questions, please reach out to me.”
With that, she presents the scroll to you, and gestures to the skydancer courier she arrived with.
“Once you have your delivery prepared, please send them to my companion, Charlie. He will ensure that it reaches the correct recipient.”
With that, she bows her head in farewell, and the two launch back into the air to deliver the rest of the scrolls peeking out of Charlie’s pack. Cracking open the seal on the scroll, you scan the contents to see the details of your match for the event.
