Biography
|
As a hatchling, then Zuri wandered off looking for adventures. She got lost, and couldn’t find the way back to her lair. Some other dragons ‘helped’ her, leading her to a place that she could live and be cared for, for only the small price of neverending testing and testing and testing.
She didn’t know that last part of the deal, and, hungry and scared, took up the offer. She was given a small room and some bland food, and told to wait. Eventually, the door opened, and a robotic voice led her through tests, complimenting her on doing simple things like putting a cube on a button. Confidence growing, then Zuri threw herself into doing the tests with all her effort. This was a mistake. The tests got more and more dangerous, the voice making her jump down large gaps, catapult over deadly goo, and get shot at by robots. She was given a portal gun, used to get past these nearly impossible tests. She could hear it when others failed, late at night in her small room, and she didn’t want to be the one screaming for mercy. Although one day, then a new feature was added to the tests: gel. She couldn’t get the hang of the stuff, bouncing everywhere and running into walls. The voice was annoyed, the test wasn’t getting solved, and some of the gunned robots were shooting at her while she was trying to think. Zuri turned to shoot a portal underneath one of the small robots, and slipped in some propulsion gel. She landed underneath tubes and tubes of propulsion and repulsion gel, and was coated in the stuff. She nearly drowned, but a panel blocked the gel flow just in time, and she was sent back to her room. The next morning then Zuri couldn’t even get out of bed. Extremely sick, barely moving, she curled up and didn’t leave her room. The voice was not happy with this, but let her rest for one day. One day turned into weeks, as Zuri got sicker and sicker. The voice called it quits after a month, making the Party Escort bot take her outside and leave her there to die. She was found by Nope as he walked by, and the tundra grew very worried over this small nocturne, putting her on his back and taking her to his lair. Zuri was well cleaned, (although some of the gel would never come off) and treated with the best medicine the lair could afford. Lavender was assigned to care for her, which she did happily. Now Zuri is making a slow recovery, although she’s still very sick most of the time. She also gets uncontrollable bursts of speed and bounciness on occasion. She’s making friends and getting closer and closer to her old personality all the time, although she’s very much afraid of anything reminding her of there. |
