Chieva ______Chieva is a specter; a spirit, sent by the Lightweaver in a deal with the Gladekeeper. The Great Mother of the forest had been promised by the Father of Light that he would help her fill her ranks with dragons gifted with the brilliance of those who were Light-born. Chieva is to visit male dragons showing great promise in one way or another, and bestow them with a nest. These parents would raise their hatchlings together to venture out into Sornieth, spreading knowledge and skills to the far reaches of the Realm. Chieva was to be the mother of a new generation of one-hundred great dragons, each with a different father. While Viodo lives in constant agony at the memories of their life together, Chieva has near to none. After each nest she hatches and raises, she suddenly finds herself in love with a different dragon (though she knows it not) and raising a new nest. Faint memories of past loves and children visit her in her dreams, but she takes them simply as dreams - not real. |
