ENBILULU

Named after Enbilulu, the Mesopotamian god of rivers and canals.

ABOUT

Deep in the wilds, close to the running brooks, streams, and rivers that swarm with fireflies, a species of dragons dwell. There, in the damp shadows, the Forest and River Dragons (FaR) learn how to channel the special powers of the water within. Running water is healing, rejuvenating, and cleansing. Since these dragons are born into it, they’re among the luckiest of all kinds.

They are known to store river water in their bellies, beginning with the water from the river they were born in. As they grow older, they may store more and more of it, from different locales. No one knows if it’s the water or the special dragon, but the water within them has magical healing and luck properties.

Having one of these dragons in your clan is said to foretell prosperity — for as long as the rivers course through the Viridian Labyrinth.

RIVERBED

Riverbed dragons are born where the river meets the sea. The brackish water inside them is always a little too salty and unpleasant to drink, but there is a myth about it.

It is rumored that if you are brave enough to drink water offered from a Riverbed dragon, your soulmate will appear before you on the next full moon. Because of this romantic tale, the estuaries near the ocean are full of heart-sick dragons, both young and old.
