Frostbite lived a long, complicated life long before arriving in Shadowhunter territory. She was set out alone, with only her close friend Icicle at her side. Icicle was a sickly Fae dragon who often found her way into perilous situations Frostbite had to rescue her from. Frostbite first learned how cruel and unfair the world was when she and Icicle were young. Icicle grew very sick, and the healers thought she was too small and insignificant to bother healing. Instead they brushed her off, and told Frostbite that if she wanted Icicle to live, she'd have to heal her herself. So she did. Frostbite found a retired healer willing to guide her as she nursed her friend back to health. Frostbite stayed with the old healer, with Icicle at her side learning everything she could about healing to care for the delicate fae. As time wore on the healer died, and the duo moved on. A year went by and Icicle fell ill again, and Frostbite again tried to save her only friend. She failed. With Icicle gone, Frostbite spent yet another year wandering alone before she stumbled across Starfinder.

Frostbite fully lives up to the frosty attitude her name implies. She's an older dragon. Jaded, cynical, and waspish, she's not anyone's idea of friendly. Hardened by years of foul luck and loss, she views everything with a very pessimistic lens. She's a skilled healer, and one who doesn't tolerate nonsense from anybody. Her singular soft spot is hatchlings, who she cares for and watches over as skillfully as she can.

Frostbite is one of Starfinder's healers, and the best of them. She treats sick and wounded dragons within the Shadowhunter clan, oversees their medical supplies, and provides Brightseer and Malakai suggestions for new medications they can try to concoct.
