______ Meriposa is extremely cool and relaxed. He seems to have an aloof air about him, and it can be hard for others to approach him. He often gets mistaken as female, but this does not bother him. Meriposa is the model of an ice dragon, rarely ever showing any true emotion. This only furthers others uneasiness around him as they worry his laid back demeanor is in part of his incapacity to show emotion. Meriposa really doesn’t give a crap about what you think of him or what others may say. He only needs a few close friends by his side to be happy. He may not show emotion, but he does feel very empathetic towards others, always willing to listen and to be a shoulder to cry on. He quite likes the musical arts and has a good voice, but he decided against singing as his job. He also seems to have a strange fascination with the sea that surrounds him for an Ice dragon...

______ Meriposa works in the Hunter/Gatherer faction as a Gatherer. Where as many of the dragons in his department prefer to look farther away for food, Meriposa prefers to stay as close to the cliff-side encampment as possible. He works directly under Lilian and she often depends on him to get things done. He also likes to be the one to sort the food they get.
______ Meriposa’s familiar is a Longneck hunter named Maddy. She often tried to help him but she has a hard time only gathering plants. Maddy and Meriposa have been together nearly since his hatching and she is his ultimate closest friend. He does like hanging out with Jhi, Tony, Elsa, and Oliver though. Maddy can get a little jealous when he hangs out with other dragons, but she’s just come to accept it as the way things are.
______ Meriposa came to the clan as a small hatchling. He had only been a day old in the Southern icefield when his mother had flown him to the ocean and laid him there. He never really knew why, only that before he could even cry out she was gone. She left with him a young Longneck who’s tribe had a long friendship with Meriposa’s old clan. He would later learn it was custom for a young hatchling and a Longneck to grow up together. Nonetheless, while Cummulus had been trying out one of his flying machines he happened upon the tiny hatchling and Longneck and brought them back to the clan. Flamewreath would never refuse such a small hatchling- not that he ever really refused anyone in the first place-, so the hatchling was immediately taken in by Cummulus and his mate Dianna. Dianna and Cummulus doted on their new son as none of their previous broods had ever lasted very long. Dianna even made him a special necklace and bracelet that he wears around his neck and ankle. Meriposa wished to stay in Spiral keep underneath the waves, but both his parents jobs made it so that was nearly impossible.
______ Eventually when Meriposa was growing, he realized he needed to choose a Faction. He wished for one to keep him beneath the waves where it was calming, he was considering actually taking up singing as he loved it so. Then he got word that Lilian desperately needed more Hunters/Gatherers. Hesitantly he approached her, wishing to know what they did. Lilian explained that they gathered and hunted for food. Gatherers would collect plants and catch bugs, whereas hunters would hunt for fish and animals. She explained how important it was to the clan, and though Meriposa’s heart longed to be beneath the waves, he told Lilian he would do it. Even if hunting for fish would let him be nearer to the waves, he didn’t think he had the guts to kill anything so he chose to be a gatherer instead. Since he is a Gatherer he stays at the Cliffside encampment with his parents. He will always go beneath the waves whenever he can, however. Flamewreath even invites him down sometimes to sing, as he still decided to sing a as a part time gig. Sonata is more than happy to give him the occasional voice lesson. Being above the waves, he was able to meet Jhi, Tony, Elsa, and Oliver. He quite liked the four dragons and enjoys hanging out with them when he can.
