“Odiniran. He lives in Odiniran, out where the Sea meets the Shifting Expanse. It’s a hell of a hike and there’s no settlements nearby, with the closest being a handful of Water wizard islands miles away. It’s riddled with bandits who know good and well nobody will bother to look for them there, and Odiniran is right in the middle of their dens, just off of a white sand beach next to a Maren grotto. It looks like a door built into a mountain, but he’s tunneled out an entire complex behind it.
“And that’s where he lives. In Odiniran. “I worked for him for a while. It wasn’t exactly a great arrangement, and I quickly learned why he had such a terrible reputation among mercenaries in the area. It’s not that he’s a bad guy--as far as sorcerers with weird interests go, he’s an absolute peach--but he has a nasty habit of expecting everyone to be as smart and powerful as he is. To him, asking you to go and fetch a minor object out of a monster-infested cave is no big deal since, well, he can do it and you should be able to do it, too. He’s just hiring you out of convenience. It goes completely over his head that most of the amateur hirelings he takes on will probably not get out of it alive. “So they die. In droves. And he seems confused every single time it happens. The sad part is that he cares in his own way, and he’s a completely agreeable dragon with good intentions. He’s just a death sentence for anyone fool enough to ignore the warnings about him.”

"I know that name. I think I've heard Volrina say it before, in the rare instances she says jack-all about her past. But, like, don't expect me to give you any fine details attached to it, because I only got the vaguest of recollections associated with it. Something about her brother, I think, and a den of undead dragons. All I know is that Volrina's brother ain't around to say nothin' about nothin', and it was somewhere... wet? I think?
