______ Ursa is a gentle and wise Guardian. She seems to have this calming essence about her, and no one ever feels nervous when she is nearby. She seems to always be relaxed and at peace with the world, giving off a sort of hippie vibe. No one has ever seen her angry, some seem to wonder if she’s even capable of it or if she just hides it well. If she ever raises her voice others turn to stop and stare at the dragon that caused her to do so. She treats every member of the clan like her child, and many call her the clan’s ‘mom’. She is very involved in the lives of the other dragons in the clan, always checking up on them and making sure everything is alright. She likes to talk through others dragons problems, many even call her the clan’s psychologist. Something many have noticed is that Ursa is very involved in others lives, but when it comes to her own problems she tries to avoid talking about them. She struggles with coming to terms with the fact that she can accept help with her problems and she doesn’t always need to be the strong one. Even if she is an explorer and can be gone for a long time, she will always come back to make sure everything is going well and play her part as the ‘mom’ of the clan. She seems to have a fascination with the stars, and prefers to explore at night when they are out. She claims everyone is connected to them. She loves her mate Capricornus, and she loves to tease him and laugh with him. He is her precious pearl, her brightest star, and she would do anything for him.

______ Ursa works in the Explorer faction as an Explorer. Though technically the Explorers don’t exactly have ‘stations’ as their entire purpose is to explore the unknown and record what they find, each explorer tends to stick to a different area and direction. Ursa tends to explore the South west of the Sea of a Thousand currents towards the Southern icefield. She will go to the deepest depths and may occasionally go out on the ice for an expedition. She loves to see the Aurora Borealis when it appears. When words cannot describe the things she sees while exploring, she will sketch them in her waterproof notebook.

______ Ursa’s familiar is a Chalcedony Snipper she named Benjamin. Benjamin is her constant companion whether she’s in the clan or exploring. He likes to help out where he can and Ursa is very grateful to have him. Sometimes it seems like he is reading her mind as she only has to open her mouth to ask him to do something or get something and it’s already done. He acts as her guide when deep underneath the waves as the glint off of his bejeweled carapace is very hard to miss. Ursa first met him when she was going to the shore and found the Lobster stuck in a trap. Unwilling to leave him there, Ursa saved him and he has been grateful to her ever since. They have travelled far together and they hope to travel even farther.

______ Ursa hatched in the Tangled woods to a Shadow flight clan. Her parents had been important members of the clan, and much was expected of her. However, she never felt at home among the thick, tangled, twisted branches of the woods. She longed to see the stars that she could barely see and to escape the darkness. Her parents hoped that if they tried to tutor her she would let go of these fantasies and embrace her life, but tutoring her did nothing but make her hate it more. When she finally grew up, she made up her mind and left the clan and the woods. Her parents told her that they would disown her and that she would not be welcome there again, but she did not care. She would continue to wander until she came across the ocean. She was in awe of its majesty and beauty. She would meet Minty, a Coatl who was in charge of the Guide faction in the Ximbakuta clan, and expressed her interest in learning about the ocean. Minty took her on an expedition and she made up her mind she wanted to live there. Though a bit wary, Minty offered to take her to Flamewreath where she might be permitted to join his clan. She agreed, and he took her to see Flamewreath in Spiral Keep. To both their surprise they found another Guardian there also waiting to meet Flamewreath about joining the clan. Minty was suspicious and wondered if they had planned this, but they assured him it was complete happenstance. Ursa discovered the Guardian’s name was Capricornus, and that he was trying to find a clan to join as well. Flamewreath met with with both of them and determined they were more than welcome to stay. Satisfied, Minty wished her luck and said he hoped to see her more often. Then the Guide went back on duty. Uraza, the golden Jaguar-like Tundra that served as both the clan’s builder and Earth Ambassador, was called to make them each a den. Uraza and Ursa began talking and would soon become close friends.

______ The two Guardians decided to have dens in Spiral Keep and they lived not too far from each other. The two would see each other passing and they would begin to talk quite often. Ursa would busy herself with helping out where she could and scoping out the different factions she thought she might be interested. It was when she had been looking for some plants that she had come across Benjamin. When the time came to decide on a faction to join she finally decided on being an explorer. Poisonstrike was more than happy to accept her, as she had been very helpful and the two had grown rather close. Capricornus was sad to hear that she wouldn’t be at the clan as often as he liked, but Ursa assured him she wouldn’t leave for very long. She would continue to come back and stay as long as possible before leaving again for her explorations. She and Capricornus had grown increasingly close during those times and they finally asked each other to be mates at the exact same time. After a bit of a laugh, they both accepted.
