Carnation considers himself a single dad. He's always had a thing for little hatchlings, and though he may not have any biological children, he's taken to adopting some instead. Rosaline and Primrose are his two daughters whom he cherishes spending time with. Carnation is always eager to hear when Rosaline wants to practice trying to write (even with what little dexterity she has) and is happy to teach her. His children both may be land-bound, but together, Carnation and his daughters are a real family, and that's just the way he likes it.
