Lemonade's Journey (Travel Thread)

______ The color of Lemonade’s capsule indicates all of her moods. It can change very quickly, going from the bright, stark red of anger to a deep purple of calm in little over a second or it changing slowly, taking minutes to change completely. It can sometimes even be a mix of two separate colors! The majority of the time, her capsule stays at yellow; the color of joy. She is a very optimistic dragon, seeing the best in most situations. It's rare for her capsule to be any other color for a lengthy time. She also smells like lemon tarts!

______ Lemonade has always been a curious dragon, often wandering too far away from her parents in any attempt to explore the world around her. Though she was confined to the small part of the kingdom she called home, she know that one day she would be able to go off on her own and get to know everything Sornieth had in store for her. She memorized every geographical book in the library, even asking the royal librarian Papochka for help in her studies at times. Soon enough, she had become familiar with almost every location Sornieth had to offer... At least on paper.

______ When it came to actually going to said places she knew of, she was utterly clueless. Despite her eidetic memory of the world on paper, she had no idea where to start in her actual travels! She found herself paralyzed from all of the choices... She had no clue where to go first! The world was so vast, and she was so small. Still, she refused to let her fear stop her from accomplishing her dreams. With a deep breath, she set out to have the adventure she had always dreamed of having.

T R A V E L S

______ Ever since the spiral had arrived at the guild for a few days, Aether had been over the moon, bouncing around with far more energy than usual and dragging the poor sleepy fae with him. How could he not be excited with someone wanting to know more about his hard work?

Just like Saiph had said before, the stars were beautiful. Whenever Lemonade asked about this or that constellation, he cheerfully answered, naming every single one of them and listing any fact he could remember, even the story behind each of them. It was nice to see someone so eager to learn and ask.

Out of the entire guild, the oddest bunch were definitely the mechanics and inventors that made it their home... along with other things.... There was a surprising amount of robots in there for a lair located in the Tangled Woods.

"So, uh, hope it was fun for you to stick around with us!" The chief, Orison, had insisted on coming to say good bye despite Lemonade insisting it was fine. His energy was easily matching the wildest of spirals, constantly fluttering around and fidgeting as if he couldn't really stay still for too long. Even when he settled for sitting on top of the gaoler's head, he didn't quite manage to keep himself composed enough for this.

"We were glad to have you with us." Ignoring the fae on her head, Bedwyr glanced at Lemonade with a gentle smile. "If you ever wish to come again, our doors will always be open for you."

"I'll keep that in mind!" It had been quite the experience, maybe it was worth coming back.

Bidding farewell to odd bunch of the guild, Lemonade continued her journey.

______ Lemonade had a lot of fun meeting all the members of Glowtree Grove. She got to explore Gil's spiral-tunnels, learn about the grove from Edwin's library, pick fruit with Sonna and bring it to Luin for alchemy, watch Quar tinker with the generators, sample one of Emry's famous cakes, and spend some quiet time with Tel as she stood guard. Perhaps best of all, she got to see the shimmering colors of the glowtrees at sunset - "the best time for it", said Cass, who otherwise hadn't said much. Even the stern-looking mirror, Ship, and his loudmouth buddy Valour came out to watch. This clan was an odd bunch, but it was clear they were all here for something magical and important.

______ Life among the residents at Coral Cove was livelier than the Spiral had anticipated and her
Excitement at exploring all the twists and turns were almost more than she could bear.
Mornings were spent watching the sun rise over the water and wading through the shallows,
Or instead helping Umiko with her fishing or Venamina with her foraging, although she
Never did help Letherii with the hunt or Araneae catch insects – oops.
Afternoons were spent learning the lay of the land and listening to captivating stories that
Dared her to be bolder in adventures yet to come, but not too bold lest their warnings
Eventually fall on deaf ears, but no matter, for her next adventure was around the corner.

______ Date Written: Sept. 30th of the year 2019 - The Avolare Clan
Region: Windswept Plateau

"What is the Avolare Clan?" is probably the first question that comes to mind when a clan so completely unknown is introduced to a stranger of sorts. This is precisely the question Lemonade had when she first arrived as any good explorer should ask when they arrive in a new place. That and how to pronounce the name of the clan as any good fellow in a new place also should. The first thing Lemonade learned about the clan was that it was composed of dragons of all kinds, from all backgrounds who had somehow lost their place one way or another. It was built from the ground up by a small fae dragon, no heavier than a roughly medium-sized pumpkin. However due to most unfortunate circumstances, Lemonade would soon come to learn that this fabled founder was no more in place than the rest of the clan's members as he had been gone for a long, long time. One could even say that he simply disappeared someday. However, the other lost souls minus this one all still remained, waiting for the day their founder would return. The second thing Lemonade learned was the odd system that these dragons used to form some sort of democracy in which the person with all reigning power was called the High Princeps meaning High Leader and the council beneath this leader were all secondary. This was a bit odd but Lemonade dealt with it and even met the High Princeps upon her arrival into the Avolare Clan.

This dragon was a lovely green coatl who went by the name of Chartreuse. Lemonade found herself lucky enough to be staying in this household during her time and she ended up meeting Chartreuse's family which consisted of her mate and the captain of the clan's guard known as Adonai, her children Bakari and Mandisa, Bakari's mate Ambrose, and even their grandchild Mio. Their family was quite lovely to Lemonade and took care of all her needs. Bakari and Ambrose even gave a full tour of the clan and Lemonade befriended many. She met the new librarian, Caius who taught her about the history of the clan and showed her small secrets of the clan that he had learned. She met the temperamental mate of the founder of the clan, Viridi, the toymaker, Vermilion, his mate and assistant hatchling nanny, Astra, the nearly silent astronomer, Rhenine, his friend the soothsayer and her mate, Lotus.

And as the days passed and the nights arrived she went on many adventures just as she wanted to! She hunted with Nikita and sipped strange concoctions with Tempest and his dear friends and even got into quite the chase with a resident thief known as Haven after she accidentally helped him kidnap a spiral dragon who was the charge of a devotee to the Icewarden named Grim all so they could simply go on a night flight!

At the end of Lemonade's journey she asked herself the same question she did in the beginning and thought long and hard about the answer before realizing the question was wrong all along! The question was not supposed to be "What is the Avolare Clan?" but rather... "Who is the Avolare Clan?" As Lemonade left the clan and headed for new adventures elsewhere, she found her answer. However, the answer to a question like that is not just something you give away! Quite unfortunate really. You read all of this to find an answer and yet there was nothing. What an unsatisfying end. I actually feel quite bad knowing the answer that you'll never know. Hm... I'll have to fix that somehow, won't I? Well since Lemonade is busy elsewhere on some other adventure I guess you'll just have to come with me, won't you? So. Who is the Avolare Clan? Well the only way to answer that question is to find out, is it not?
