Pascal

Pascal is Tito's blood-son and rightful heir to the Imperial throne. Though his father wishes him to follow in his footsteps, Pascal is free-spirited and rather lazy, prone to daydreaming while laid out on the warm grass in the sun, or sleeping for days in the thick bamboo forests that dot the clan-lands. He has no head for fighting and remains uninterested in the particulars of clan leadership; his version of diplomacy was very yielding and as soft as his personality, a stark contrast to the strong hand Tito and Grieboui show in the flight and throughout the clans. As he is the most amiable of any dragon in the clan, he is well-loved and has no enemies; even the serious Grieboui and outcast Poicephalus care deeply for him. Tito, though turned stony and frustrated in the face of his son's noncompliance, still keeps him in the royal court and weighs his opinions in important matters as counterpoints to his own. Though not the most scholarly of clan dragons, Pascal still enjoys reading scrolls and writing them, tracing out poems and exaggerated songs of his cherished brothers' exploits in lilting swirls.
