Coral

Coral was abandoned at a young age, not considered pretty or unique enough to be kept by her parents. Because of this, she grappled with serious mental health issues. However, over time, she has been able to accept her situation for what it truly is, as well as work to move past that with her new clan. She latched onto Ryoma as a hatchling, barely minutes old and petrified. He loves her as a sister, and while she is mostly shy and unnerved around other clan members, his calm and laid back attitude has helped her meet other dragons, as well as forge some strong friendships.

Phil would have to be her best friend. The two are often referred to as soulmates, and while they share a notable bond and share every common interest you could think of, the two of them have talked several times about their relationship, they eventually decided to just see what happens. While Coral is asexual, she hopes to have hatchlings with Phil eventually, seeing as it would be the one thing to tie them even closer to one another. She also may have a small crush of him as well, though they do continue to define themselves as "super best friends and soulmates."

A fact that Coral has only recently discussed with Phil: She desperately wants hatchlings of her own at some point, as she loves the idea of nurturing children of her own. She is firmly against exalting, and believes that if you must sell hatchlings, you make sure they end up in a loving and caring home. These political opinions align strongly with Hades' as he comes from a similar state and can see the merit in them.

She and Hades have taken to cafe get-togethers every Monday to chat and catch up. The two of them have a stronger bond than most realize at a first glance, simply because of their social circles not overlapping as much. They also send each other funny messages by tipping whatever children are in the clan a couple of gold coins.

A small check in:

It's been ages since Coral joined the clan, and she's never been happier. Her life with Phil has blossomed and flowered into something amazing to observe, the way they seem to bounce ideas off of one another and have whole conversations inside each other's heads. Scarily in sync, you can ask one of them a question and the other one will answer without even looking up.

Phil finally got the courage to say something to Coral, and he proposed an evening out with her, simply playing some videogames and grabbing food. She didn't actually realize it was a date until he showed up on her nest-step with his scales shined and clutching a box of tiny chocolates for her.

They were already inseparable, but after the new development in their relationship, Coral and Phil grew somehow closer. Coral also branched out and began to meet other members of the tribe, most notibly Hades. The tiny fae has become something of a new best friend to the Imperial, the two of them bonding over the grief that comes with their respective childhoods. Both Coral and Hades also enjoy gossiping about the goings-on in the clan, and they, as well as their mates have grown quite close by extension. Coral also shares Hades' sense of morbid humor.
