Need a lantern to take with you on an exploration trip, but don't want to worry about it burning out? Find a dark cave that you need to map out and not get lost in? Rubus is always happy to assist in such cases regardless of whether you're a scholar, a mage, or a traveling spelunker.

- - - It's not the first time he's been mistaken for a spirit or wraith, given the luminance that tends to surround him at almost all times. The darkness is something that chills his very veins at the thought of it, and if he can avoid that by keeping some form of light with him wherever he goes, then Rubus will do it - and if he can help others to bring light into their lives, then so be it.

- - - Warmth - that would be the word to describe the very essence of his being. Dozing cats, the wispy smoke from a hot mug of cocoa, the roaring crackle of a fireplace late at night - these are things Rubus loves dearly, even his magic emanates an oddly familiar sense of heat that warms not just the bones, but the very hearts of those he meets.
