Biography
KEEPER OF THE HIBERNAL DEN
Basil is soft spoken, but his words carry weight. If he has something to say, it's usually deep and profound. Usually.
"My finger-claws look like toe-claws." -Basil, sleep deprived and ready to pass out
It was sunny out the day Basil got asked to watch over the hibernating dragons.
Basil could feel Silvershadows approaching him before he saw her. It was a twisting feeling in his gut. Not bad, just strange. He didn't even look up from his reading material. "You've come to ask me about the hibernal den situation, I presume?"
"Good morning to you too, Basil." Silvershadows chuckled. "I see you're right again as always." The small fae took a deep breath. "It doesn't mean that we don-"
"I'll do it." Basil said softly, looking up at the fae that had taken him off the streets, offered him a home. It's not like it would be the end of the world. He would actually enjoy more time to read up on this new religion he had found. Apparently, people called it 'science'. He thought for only a moment more. "Of course, only if Daelina is alright with it."
"That's funny," Silvershadows said. "I spoke with her only moments ago. She said almost exactly the same thing regarding you."
"You've been an amazing companion, old friend," Basil closed his eyes for only a moment. "But you need the sunlight. Go, find another dragon who can give you what I can't anymore.
His moth flapped its wings in distress, looking up at him in shock.
"G-go," Basil whispered, tearing up just a little bit. "Find a young dragon, one who plans to stay for a long, long time. Find one, and stay with them. Guard them as they grow, as you did to me. Help them and watch over them. Don't worry, it's not like you'll never see me again."
His moth's antennae drooped for only a moment, before perking back up. An idea. And then, shaking out his wings, the moth flapped once, powerfully, and flew off into the crisp air.
And so Basil turned, and began to head into the hibernal den. He knew Daelina would be along shortly, so he might as well find them a nice spot to sit and watch over their clanmates. His thoughts drifted back to his moth for only a moment, and he cleared his head. Now was not the time to focus on such things. This wasn't a goodbye, just a see you later.
EVE'S BIO
Raised from a young age to be courteous and kind, Eve embodies every possible trait of a respectful and courteous dragon. She is polite and punctual, always put together. She loves all her fellow dragons, though her love for animals has always trumped all else in her life. She's both fascinated and enamored by the strange creatures that live in the world around her, and animals almost can't help but be drawn to her.
Eve could barely believe her eyes when the huge green moth fluttered down next to her. Blinking and rubbing her eyes, Eve simply stared at the leafy insect, almost larger than she was. The insect stared back.
Finally, Eve smiled. Somewhere, sometime during their staring contest, she and the insect appeared to have reached a consensus. "It's nice to meet you," she said, voice high pitched and childlike.
The moth said nothing back, simply staring back up at her.
