Pumpkin

Uh-oh, looks like this traveler wandered a little too far from his home lair 393568 JustNobody546, and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

Pumpkin is traveling in an effort to explore new places and learn who he is. He set off traveling at the same time as his friend Essa however they split up to cover more ground. Together they decided they would discover as many different places and dragons as they could and one day meet back home to tell their stories.

My my, lil ol Pumpkin was quite far from home, wasn’t he now? While out on a pleasant morning stroll together, Prince and Fyre stumbled upon this poor freezing dragon. Fortunately for Pumpkin, the two hurried him back to the lair and made sure he received the care he needed. Pumpkin explained to the two that he was a explorer, and that he got caught in a storm the other night that must have flung him all the way into the islands! After patching up any bruises Pumpkin had, they offered him a temporary stay in the lair as he recovered. As of now, Pumpkin has greatly enjoyed his time in the LeLoup lair, becoming good friends with Prince and Fyre and learning much about the snowy tundras. The two dragons gifted Pumpkin with a gift: a simple journal he could use while out on his journey. Though the lair is cozy enough, Pumpkin just can’t wait to get back on track and continue exploring the world!

________After leaving the Icefield, Pumpkin naturally moved north. He avoided aproaching the Twisting Crescendo, as he felt he was not enough of an experienced flyer to navigate the howling winds of the Singer's domain. Instead, he set his eyes on the sharp outline of the Crystalspine Reaches. Now that was a place worth travelling to!

________The night was starting to fall when he reached the Starwood Strand. The trees, at first set ablaze by the setting sun, continued they otherworldy combustion as the icy flowers bloomed on their branches, like a million stars.

________In the twilight of the sleeping woods, he saw a ghost. Pale as a soul, with fiery, burning wings, the coatl introduced herself as Talene, from Plague. Charmed, he followed her.
________She, and her two bodyguards, were coming back from the Observatory, she said. Arcane exports unique goods to the rest of Sornieth, and her job was to make sure her clan got it's share of it. What about you? she asked. Not yet entirely convinced the being before him was corporeal, Pumpkin told his story.
________At the camp, no one said much. The young Nocturne promptly fell asleep, his wings tired from a day of flying.

________He was woken up in the middle of the night by a distant noise. Talene and one of the guards were still sleeping, and the third dragon was nowhere to be seen.
________Slowly, he got up and looked around. He noticed Talene's bags, one of them open, and started to wonder what it was Plague could possibly want from Arcane. Maybe gemstones, magic runes, or meteors, he thought, but surely having just a little peek wouldn't hurt anyone.
________In the bag he found spellscrolls. A bit disappointed not to find anything shiny, he opened one of them up and started reading. As his eyes scanned the page, the shimmering text semed to dull, and when he was done, the parchment fell to ashes between his claws. That's when he suddently understood his mistake. Those weren't just any spellscrolls, they were gene change scrolls.
________Terrified, and unaware yet of the exact nature of his new patterns, he took wing a second before the second guard came back from his walk. He was already far when they realized a Smirch scroll was missing.

He'd flown in no particular direction as he headed further away from the dragons. He was growing tired when he decided to land for the night, in a small clearing nearby the wide stream. He could just barely make out the light of a small clan further down the water source and after his last encounter, decided to steer clear of them. Who knew what kind of dragons they were.
