He’s known as The Mad Mage for his experiments on corpses. When he’s not profaning the laws of life and death, he’s an eccentric uncle to the clan’s hatchlings. He’s also an excellent singer (if you like a high, reedy tenor) and his favorite songs are the ones that hatchlings can learn easily and horrify their parents with.

His companion in these experiments is Uzume, the clan's other practitioner of the necromantic arts. They disagree often, sometimes to the point of coming to (glancing) blows, but the clan knows to prepare for danger when they agree. Unlike Uzume, he enjoys spending time with the clan's hatchlings, admiring their curiousity and fascination with anything "gross". He hopes one day to find or create an apprentice who can continue his legacy, but his previous attempts have failed.

His current creations (or recreations, depending on how you look at it) are Ruumis, Juntha, Aghavni, and Xile. He can exert a limited amount of control over his creations, but it varies wildly from dragon to dragon - Xile is almost incapable of acting without Mitu's commands, while Aghavni can start a battle a wills and sometimes win. They all stay close, however, as they know that Mitu and Uzume's protection is the only thing standing between them and destruction at Calendula's claws.
