Wow I wrote some sad stuff at 2 am, woah it doesn't totally suck



Coniferous woke to soft crying beside them. Myriad was bawling his eyes out as quietly as possible, back turned to the Skydancer. It had been a while since this had happened.

"Myriad?" Coniferous scooted over to the dragon, wrapping their arms around him. "Shhh, shhh.. What is it you're crying about?"

The Spiral sniffed, turning to face his friend. There were evident tear streaks on his cheeks, making one wonder how long he'd crying for. "I-I-I'm sorry. I d-didn' want t-tuh wake you.." He was so upset he stumbled over his words, which Coniferous would've thought cute if their boyfriend wasn't sobbing beside them.

Coniferous shook their head, "It's all right, Myri." They began to rub the Spiral's back, making him calm down a bit.

"I m-miss Monty.." Myriad sniffled, beginning to sob once more. Understanding flickered on Coniferous' face, causing them to give the Spiral a squeeze. "She's going to come back." They comforted, giving a small smile.

"But what if she doesn't?!" Myriad suddenly snapped, voice cracking. He pulled away from the Skydancer, hunching over and facing away once more. "I-I-I'm sorry.." he sniffed, covering his head with his paws.

"..I'm s-scared, Connie..." He mummbled, the Skydancer moving toward him once more. They hugged him, nuzzling the top of his head.
