Since she was a tiny hatchling she's always been interested in magic. Many would say her memory issues would get in the way of her learning even the basics but she feels that she can make it work, she has the determination certainly, even if the reasons for it might become muddy after a while...

In the mean time she follows Kelpie around as he goes about his day and occasionally has to act as a second witness when people ask her Patriarch about something and he can't seem to recall, she has the better memory of the two after all.

Unlike the previous Matriarch, Nightshade, Faerie Fire isn't as harsh and commanding. It's not in her nature to really bark to keep members in line or tell others what to do all the time, she believes her clanmates know perfectly well what they're supposed to do and only directs when the clan is moving somewhere new or something important has come up.
