Morningfeather was hatched along the Focal Point, to a small flock of Tundras who had headed up north from their homeland. Since she was little, she had always been obsessed with colors; she loved watching the Crystalspine Reaches from her nest, because the sea and the crystals sparkled in all sorts of colors under the light of the sun. And to her, it wasn't just the things she saw that seemed to have colors--everything had its own colors, and she loved her own little rainbow that she was able to see.
Like a true Arcane dragon, she set herself to studying colors and color theory, and quickly started up her own hoard of things that caught her attention. Her den became a beautiful spot where everything glittered in the light and glowed at night, and she was happy.
But it didn't last forever. A group of centaurs bent on ridding the Starfall Isles of the dragons that had split their herds apart attacked her flock, and they were all slaughtered. She only managed to survive by hiding in their den of winding burrows. Everything she'd known and loved was suddenly taken from her in the blink of an eye, and not knowing what else to do, she abandoned her home.
She flew straight over the Scarred Wasteland, and planned to keep going, but the sun and the heat from the wasteland wore on her, and she took refuge in the cool air of the Tangled Wood. She tried to find somewhere to rest overnight, and stumbled into the Driftwood Drag. She found Daydream's Clan after three nights, and was taken in.
At first, she closed herself off from the Clan, still hurting from loosing her family and having to leave her flight; but in time, she loosened up, especially when she met Cricketwing and Rainbowscales. They gave her back purpose--Cricketwing loved to sew, and she suddenly found a way to use her love for colors to help the Clan, and Rainbowscales didn't seem to mind her forgetfulness or scattered, intense thoughts. They clicked in a way she hadn't clicked with anyone in her flock, and now she's starting to warm up to her new home and her new life.
