As a young dragon, he had an extended affair with a shadow-born Imperial. She was not particularly given to monogamy. A little broken of heart and certainly wounded of pride, Jax went roving beyond the borders of the Tangled Wood. That's when Ravaaga found him and claimed him for her own. He followed her for many seasons and into the madness of the Shade. She is the one who led them back to his birthplace, the Tangled Wood. There, during the month of the Plaguemother, Ravaaga's old mate Desertwind returned and split the pair of Wildclaws. It is this that saved Jax - split from his violent mate, he was coaxed into the Crossroads where magics were performed that seemed to expunge the darkness which had clung to him. It's left him disoriented and alone, seeking to create bonds with those at The Crossroads |
