-What's the backstory here?
When I joined FR in 2016, the community was amazing to me. Random strangers sent me warm welcomes or gifts, players gave me advice and offered corrections when I was underpricing my dragons, instead of just taking advantage of my newness, and generally, everyone was helpful and kind. I've really only seen more and more of that from players over the years, and now that I have my own wealth, I've decided to join the ranks. Giving back to the new players is fun, helpful with hoard cleaning, and very, very rewarding. I meet great players every year, and seeing people who are so excited to play FR, and so happy and grateful to receive just a few items, helps keep me interested in and inspired by this game.

-Yeah okay but why a giveaway specifically? Why not something else?
A giveaway works for me because it's something I can easily open and close. It shows up like a big holiday for a limited period of time, and then I get a long break from it to recharge my item stock. I've considered free hatcheries and hoard cleanouts, but they can't offer the same wide range of wares.

-Do you accept donations?
Yes! Though be aware that I am on FR hiatus, and I don't know when or if I'll hold another giveaway. If you just want to clear out your hoard, send me some stuff and I'll do my best to find it a good home!

-When are you accepting them?
All year round, whether the giveaway is open or not.

-What kind of donations do you accept?

• Vistas (any kind!)
• Skins/Accents (Swipp/Festival/Coliseum. Probably no UMAs for now!)
• Dragons (All giveaway dragons are stored in Den, so if you want to donate a dragon that is currently on Hibernal Cooldown, I may not be able to accept them right away! I also may not be accepting dragons if I'm low on space)
• Familiars and Apparel (Any will do! But I might have a hard time deciding where to give out a boss fam XD)

-Do you have a badge for item/dragon donors?
Yes! I've started making badges as of 2020, for anyone who's donated items, funds, or dragons! If you've donated to my 2018 or 2019 giveaways and would like a badge for your past contributions, just tell me, and I can edit the year!

-When is your giveaway held?
Every summer. I generally aim for June 1st through mid-August.

-Why is your giveaway only in the summer? Why not year round?
I started my giveaway when I was a college student, so summer was my only big span of free time. Replying to messages in a timely manner and keeping item quantities updated while juggling school was simply not feasible. I wanted to make sure my giveaway ran as smooth and prompt as possible! Now, my free time is a very different creature, but the summer giveaway has just become tradition.

-How many have you done?
I started this giveaway in 2018, and have been on hiatus since 2022. So that means four so far.

-Can I be pinged when you start your next giveaway?
Sure thing! Just send me a message and I'll add your name! Be aware that I'm on FR hiatus though, and I don't know when or if I'll resume these.

-How are you defining a "newbie"?
Newbie for me = any player who's joined in the summer. If it's August 31st, then a player who joined on June 1st is still a newbie to me! This can give players a window as big as three months, or as little as one day.

-That's kind of a big window?
It is yeah, but I like it better that way. It took me a while to officially get on my feet in FR, so I want my newbie window to be forgiving. I also don't want the warm welcome to stop for new players after only a couple of weeks. Besides, there are always at least a few items leftover after every giveaway. There's enough to go around.

-What's up with the achievement down there?
Charyti (the dragon whose bio you're reading) is a daughter of Jour, the famous gifty Tundra owned by Earth Flight veteran Demos! Demos is an icon in the FR community for their generous mission to send gifts to as many FR players as possible, and over time, you might run into a few players who have a "Become a Victim of Jour" achievement in their clan bio. It seemed fitting for a descendant of the king of gifting to hold my giveaway info ^^
