Biography

Wardenite ~ Sentry

Ancient Broadsword received in a giftbomb from Ribbons #223453 4/25/21

Born during the Crystalline Gala 2019, joined clan 2/2 from mewhaku, brother to WinterRose

Companion = Polarfreeze Defender

Although Samiras joined Clan Diamond Dust first, he was actually the second dragon assigned to the Outpost. As a Wardenite, he was a bit aloof and held himself back from the clan.

The clan leaders originally thought that he could be the patriarch of a line of Wardenites so they could spread the Icewarden's message across Sornieth. However, after much consideration, they decided it would be better to start a new lineage to help bring diversity to the gene pool.

As his sister was already in the clan - and they had their fill of advisors and guards - it was decided that he would be the protection for the Outpost, as his job was to enforce laws and follow out decrees of the Icewarden.

He was loyal to the clan, yes, but he cared most that they contributed to the strength of the Icefields. As a result, he turned a blind eye to most of the shenanigans at the outpost. If it didn't harm the clan or the icefields, he didn't care. As long as the clan got their fair share, then anything else didn't matter. The shadier characters at the Outpost knew better than to involve him and carefully kept their side businesses so it didn't affect him. They knew they'd have a problem if he ever did take an interest or decide that they were acting against the interest of the Icefields.

Wardenite Subspecies Lore:

The Wardenites are the first dragons created by the Icewarden himself. They were designed to be in his likeness. This is not only in appearance but in the demeanor in which they carry themselves as well. The Wardenites are able to have contact with the Icewarden and act as administrators of his will. They enforce laws and dole out the decrees of the Icewarden as instructed. The Wardenites are pillars of the Ice community, completely unwavering in their loyalty.

Wardenites think of themselves as aloof, calculating, and curious creatures. Like their god they enjoy observing the reactions of others. Their one weakness is their vanity. They pride themselves on their image and will sometimes argue over who has the most fluff. Wardenites do not seek out violence but are not afraid to use it when necessary. They are fierce creatures that are generally bigger than the typical tundra, much more vicious, and have a higher intelligence. They keep thick winter coats year round and have tiny ears.

Wardenites tend to be in larger clans that have roots deep within the Ice community. They are usually in advisory or leadership positions within the clan. Their main goal is to make sure their clan in some way contributes to the strength of the Ice Fields. If they are in clans outside of Ice they try to spread about Ice traditions and always present themselves in a way that reflects kindly on their original home. The Wardenites don’t always find it easy to interact with other dragons outside of official business and can be perceived to be a bit awkward or cold. Once another dragon gets to know them they will see that the Wardenites are in fact kind creatures whose sense of self is built entirely upon loyalty and and a sense of righteousness.
