PERSONALITY


Marianne, to her roots, is really a genuinely nice dragon and anyone who meets her will take a liking to her very quickly. However, she feels strongly and will not hesitate to do anything she feels is necessary and justified - even if her sense of morality has been noticeably distorted by that lifelong passion of hers.





STORY


Ahrid's lab partner and mate, Marianne has a particular interest in strange lifeforms. When questioned, she will go in an enthusiastic speech about "exozoology", as she calls it.

Marianne has travelled to Canyionstead after hearing rumors of the settlement holding many odd creatures in the guise of regular dragons - and, more suspiciously, she arrived only barely a week after Mercer...





RUNIC TECHNOLOGY

This subspecies seems to be ancient. Their ancient civilization was unearthed during the construction of a new set of lightning spires. When the first of its species joined modern civilization it didn't know about how machinery worked nor how it could be powered through cables and wires. They explained their "magics" were once what caused long-since lost megalith stone creatures to come to life and serve as tools for the dragons. Their "magics" contain strong Lightning Elemental magic, gifted to them by the Stormcatcher. Lightning residents were intrigued by their technologies, which were far more advanced than their own wires and copper plates, that they thought it was magic rather than technology. Now, seeing how enamored lightning residents are with their technology, the Runic dragons have agreed to assist lightning clans in reviving their ancient but powerful technology.

First sightings of this subspecies were just to the East of Carrion Canyon where you can be just close enough to the Lightning Farm to feel the electricity in the air.

Runic Technology dragons have their own language, it sounds garbled, but melodic. Their runes glow when they speak. They tend to be quiet and secretive, but are very social and likes being surrounded by friends and family.
