The Clockwork Dragon

"They always talk like I'm not listening. But I've been listening since I was created."

The first in the clan to be considered truly beautiful.

Perfect.

Tinted transparent wings, reminding onlookers of gloomy factory windows. Runes running across metal plating, breathing life and color into an otherwise dull painting. Shining pink pearl, its only possession. Poised delicately to raise its head to the sky, its electric eyes seeking freedom.

Freedom it could not have, as it was considered a machine. Powered by clockwork, electricity, and magic, no one considered it a real dragon. Just a pretty mimic sitting on it's creators pedestal.


This pretty mimic did not intend to spend its days forever looking towards oblivion.

Somedays the dragons forgot it could move.

And one day






She left.
