Faye is an Arcane zealot in almost every definition. She was raised in Light, but not much else is known besides that as she has since destroyed almost all records of her past. She met Azule in her “Light Years” and immediately became infatuated. Faye started courting Azule, who eventually agreed to become her partner. They had three children before Azule became uninterested and broke it off with Faye, leaving to pursue another fae named Hila. Azule later went back to Faye, but Faye never forgot Hila. A few years into the future Azule suddenly fell into an unexplainable sleep, causing Faye to nearly go mad with grief. Faye started researching ways to cure Azule of his sleep and eventually came across Arcane magic after meeting a priest of the Arcanist. Faye immediately threw herself at the feet of the Arcanist, pledging to devoutly follow him and shunning any former connections with Light. In hopes that the Arcanist would cure Azule with his power she exalted all three of her children as well as Hila, who she allowed to stay at her den to look after Azule in an act of faux hospitality before exalting. None of this worked, eventually throwing her into more grief after losing her children. She didn’t learn her lesson, and continues to seek out Arcane ways of “revival”. She is now the head of the Flieder Foundation, an institute of knowledge that she uses to secretly search for a cure.
