Vindemia always wanted to see the sun. Not because she had some deep and un-Shadowlike need to live in the day--she rather liked the soft darkness of the Tangled Wood, thank you very much--but because her wings had a certain shimmer to them that she couldn't see for herself in the perpetual gloom. Sure, she reflected the blue light of the fungus, but the lack of pure light made it impossible for her to see her true colors. So she bid goodbye to her family and took off, flying higher and higher until she rose above the gloom and could see herself, glittering and brilliant, and she knew she could never go back. The Crystalspine Reaches shone like she did, and the faraway call of magic drew her in--and that was that.

She adores her somewhat stolid mate Caeruleus, and especially loves lounging between his wings.

Vindemia is a cheery and upbeat dragon with a mischievous streak a mile wide. She knows quite a bit of stage magic and is trying to learn magic magic of her own. Her first major spell was binding gemstones to her body, which went off better than most of the clan thought it would. Now she's even more brilliant (and in direct sunlight, sometimes blinding).
