"Fear is what makes monsters of us, not the blood in our veins or the accident of our birth."

In the Emyprean Court there is a contingent of dragons devoted to the queen as her personal guard. Each is dedicated to protecting the court from harm from within and without. They are known as the Starlight Sentinels for they provide light within darkness and guidance for the lost.

Elatha was the first of the Sentinels to swear Fealty to Faunael and assumed the role of her second in command. His title in her court is "The Compassionate" and despite his skill in battle and his impressive stature what he is most known for is his willingness to give second chances. Elatha believes that even monsters can be redeemed, perhaps a reflection of his own troubled past and the cursed blood in his own veins.

The son of an ancient monster known only as "The Sun Eater" Elatha has found peace in the structure and discipline of his new role. He channels his instincts towards the protection of the weak and the punishment of the wicked. While some at court may whisper of his heritage, the truth of his past is known only to him and his queen.

The bards tell many tales of the starlit knights. The one Elatha is most known for is his journey into the twisted woods where he was taken captive in a Dreamwalker's twisting shadow labyrinth. Beset by monsters from his worst nightmares, walled off at every turn with dead ends and dangerous traps, his nose eventually led him to the very center where what he found was no dangerous aberration but a scared dragon who had gotten lost and was lashing out in panic. Rather than slay the creature who had very nearly killed him, Elatha soothed it until the maze faded back into the realm of dream and then he carried it back to it's clan.
